Golf from the OK Corral
What could be finer than beginning your day in the company of friends, sharing a hearty full English breakfast, then travelling in air-conditioned transport to one of the twenty-one stunning championship standard golf courses, all less than an hour away from the OK Corral, for a day of friendly competition golf, arranged by Denis and the experienced Mr. Len, the OK Corral's golf co-ordinator.
When you arrive at the course your own caddy-for-the-day will be there to meet you, take care of your bag and personally take care of you as you make your way around the course, advising you of hazards, distances and lies on the green. You will blink in amazement at some of the clubhouses which are more like five-star hotels with their opulence, and they house comfortable and high standard locker-rooms and restaurants serving fine Thai and European food. Golf carts are usually available at most courses and are compuslory at showpiece courses such as Laem Chabang, Burapha and St. Andrews 2000.
After your round share a chilled beer with your partners before adjourning to the OK Corral for the eagerly awaited awards presentation. You have just had the best day of your stay! And all for less than 1500 baht.
The OK Corral is the home of the Pattaya Golf Society, which is the city's oldest golf group. Leaving the OK Corral at 9am, competitions are arranged every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Casual golf can be arranged every day. Golfers at the OK Corral are encouraged to join the International Pattaya Golf Club, a member club which has negotiated fine discounts for green fees for our competitions. Currently IPGC membership at the OK Corral exceeds five hundred. Benefits are properly organised competitive golf, weekly CONGU handicaps maintained and updated, organised transport, specially negotiated green fees, and entry to approximately 60 tournaments a month. Two and five year memberships are presently available for only 500 and 1000 baht and we can even arrange club hire for you.
